Discover

Sintra, Cascais and Estoril

After breakfast depart towards Sintra. The first stop will be at Pena Palace and Pena Park. After vist the charismatic village of Sintra – Unesco World Heritage. Take time to visit shops, eat the traditional pastry “queijada” or “travesseiro”, and take a walk on the narrow and colorful streets. The tour follows around the hill where you will be amazed by the mysticism of Quinta da Regaleira. Straight to the west coast, you can see the unique view - Azenhas do Mar - and lunch at a non-touristic restaurant where you can eat the best grilled fish and seafood. After lunch, you will then continue to the westernmost point of Europe Continent – Cabo da Roca. On the way to Cascais you will pass by Guincho beach and Boca do Inferno. Once in Cascais take a stroll around the charming bay of Cascais with its beach and appreciate a luxurious life style. The tour ends with a fantastic trip from Cascais, by the Portuguese Riviera on the seaside, through the Estoril coast to Lisbon.

After breakfast enjoy this private half-day tour of Lisbon's highlights where you can explore the best and most iconic parts of the city. Stop at different viewpoints and including its main monuments. Starting in the typical neighborhood of Alfama you will see the main Cathedral of Lisbon. Then contemplate a magnificent viewpoint overlooking Lisbon, São Jorge Castle, Rio Tejo, and much more. Heading to Belém (emblematic district of the Portuguese Discoveries), you will be able to visit the impressive Monastery of Jerónimos, the fabulous Belém Tower and the magnificent Monument to the Discoveries. It’s impossible to leave Belém without tasting the delicious and one-of-a-kind Custard Pie (Pastel de Belém). Returnig to the heart of Lisbon center, this panoramic tour will take you to the old neighborhoods of Chiado, Bairro Alto and will pass on the trendy Liberdade Avenue, Rossio Square and Pombaline Downtown – where you'll get to know the Lisbon Great Earthquake 1755 details.

After breakfast and check-out your private driver will transfer you to Lisbon airport to flight to Madeira island, after a short-flight land in Madeira where an Onvicta representative will be waiting for you to transfer you to your 5* hotel.

Santana

In the morning, after breakfast, leave Funchal towards Camacha, the wicker work center, going to Poiso, and Pico do Arieiro (2nd highest peak on the island). Descend to Ribeiro Frio with the possibility of taking a 25-minute walk. Departure to the north coast to Faial (lunch). Travel to Santana to appreciate the culture and customs of this region. Return to Funchal, visiting, Porto da Cruz, Portela, Machico.

Levada

Enjoy a leisure morning and in the afternoon you will discover 'Levada' is a Portuguese word that derives from 'levar', which means to carry and is very loosely interpreted as 'carriageway'. A more correct translation would be mini-canal. The levadas were originally created in the 16th Century to bring water from the rainy northern aspect of the island to the sun soaked south where crops such as sugar, bananas and grapes grow. You will have a magnificent walk along the levada of Serra do Faial which is over one hundred years old. Starting in Vale do Paraíso and finishing in Rochão. Along the way you'll see cultivated terraces, spectacular gardens and beautiful views over the village of Camacha. A wonderful stroll that will make worth your holiday on the island. Return to your hotel and prepare for a fun evening of Folklore at a Typical Madeira Restaurant with the Madeira Typical 'espetada'.
