Germs and bacteria need not be seen to know that they exist.

There are precaution that must be taken when traveling that are of common sense, such as      washing and sanitizing your hands and taking extra care with public toilets but there are others   that we rarely remember which are of the utmost importance. That is the case of the 5 examples listed below.

  1. Socks

The vast majority of people only remember this piece at the time that they go through the airport security control. Even though it is cleaned regularly have you an idea of how many people pass through de security control barefoot and shoes on?

  1. Disinfectant wipes

Under the control of airport security – we know that it is obligatory to put our coats, electronic devices, liquids, shoes on the tray ... What you probably don't know is that there is a study that confirms the presence of dangerous bacteria, including faecal matter, at levels capable of making you sick.

  1. Bottled water

We know that it can be very tempting over the travel routes to stop to fill up the bottle in a public fountain to quench thirst but do you know that studies confirm that these waters do not have the quality for human consumption?

  1. Tv remote control

The buttons of Tv remote controls, which are rarely if ever disinfected, are touched by tens, hundreds of people and we have no idea of the condition of their hands while doing so… Avoid touching the commands directly.

  1. Slippers

If we use slippers in all shared showers to avoid athlete's foot, why don't we use them also in hotel rooms? The fungus responsible for this infection can also be found there?

So you know, on your next trip don't forget these little details of utmost importance for your health. Better safe than sorry, especially if we are to enjoy a lovely holiday.
